Poppy Cottage Limited was founded in 2010 by owner Jacqueline Smith. A family run business, Jacqueline and her 2 daughters have grown the Company from a single Residential unit to 7 properties including; Residential Care, Supported Living, Care in the community, and Poppy Manor, a luxurious Residential Care Home for the elderly will open in 2019 .
What is Supported Living?
Supported Living is simply that - living with support. It is used to describe the living arrangements and care provided for an individual with support needs who would like to live in their own property, either alone or sharing with others, with a tenancy agreement and who would have a Service Provider who will provide the care they require within their home.
Set in quite residential areas with close links to transport and the community, Poppy properties are homes from home. A relaxed homely environment is encouraged which underpins the busy activity filled days our service users are involved in. We can offer a range of packages to ensure Service User’s care, support and reassurance needs are always met. Our aim is to deliver a service of the highest quality that will improve and sustain the individuals’s quality of life and promote their independence. We ensure that care and support is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non discriminatory fashion whilst respecting each service users right to independence, privacy, dignity and their right to make informed choices about the support they receive.
